Tom Allbeson (Reader in Media & Photographic History, Cardiff University) has contacted the PPHP as he is searching the history of the British photo-magazine Picture Post (1938-57).
Although Cardiff University archive has the papers of both Tom Hopkinson (editor from 1940 to 1950) and Bert Hardy (leading photographer for the magazine from 1940 to 1957), he has been unable to establish biographical details for a number of photojournalists who published in the magazine. He is interested in any information and sources that can shed light on the professional lives of the following photographers:

Alex Bender (Dates unknown)
Alex Dellow (Dates unknown)
Gordon Cradock (Dates unknown)
Leslie Davis (Dates unknown)
Jack Esten (1904-1985)
Raymond Kleboe (1914-2005)

Frank Pocklington (1931-2023)
Ronald Startup (1924-1994)
