On March 2 1922 The Times newspaper (London) printed it’s first Picture Page, as opposed to occasional photographs. At 8AM on March 1 Northcliffe telephoned UV Bogaerde, ordering him to prepare a full page of news pictures for the next day’s paper/ At midday Bogaerde took the proof, still wet, to Northcliffe’s home. ‘It will do.’ said the chief, and the page became a daily feature. source The Times: Past Present Future.
