PPHP reader  – Freelance Copyright Consultant/Picture Editor, Julia Ruxton has asked us to post this request searching for any idea of the collection this image may have originated from:

Hi again Will

Here is the photo I am trying to track down the owner of – scans of front and back.  If you wouldn’t mind posting these on the website to see if anyone has any information or recognises the numbers that would be great. I am not sure the author is right in thinking the number reads H0630 – it could easily be 40630 and the IL could even be IC.
The caption we have is: The first RAF Chaplain-in-Chief, the Revd (Air Commodore) Harry D. L. Viener (right). Note the aircraft propellor on the right being used as a memorial cross (ca. 1921).
I think we’ll use it but it would be good to be able to trace the original agency or photographer if anyone knows.
Thanks
Julia.
Clues and answers to [email protected] please  – I’ll then pass these to Julia.
