A friend of the Press Photo History project, a researcher at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, is working on a modern journalism photography project and researching on one of the pioneers of modern journalism photographer Tim Gidal.
Tim who started in Germany then moved to England where he worked for Picture Post under Stefan Lorant and he was a military photographer for the of the British army during WWII. The researcher is looking for sources from which to learn about the attitude about photography in the military, whether there were guidelines or instructions, or restrictions or censorship restrictions.
